Latest news: Form 471 deadline extended to April 29

E-rate Application Window Extended Due to COVID-19: April 29, 2020

Form 471 deadline extended

To minimize potential disruptions caused by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), on Friday, March 13, 2020, the Federal Communications Commission directed USAC to extend the deadline for applicants to submit their FY 2020 FCC Form 471 applications by an additional 35 days.

The Form 471 deadline is now 11:59pm (EST) Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

They also directed USAC to provide all applicants with an automatic, 14-day extension for Program Integrity Assurance (PIA) requests.

The extension of the application deadline means that any Form 470 filed on or before April 1, 2020, will be within the E-rate program’s 28-day competitive bidding requirement. For additional information, please visit the USAC E-rate homepage.
