As your student attends school at Springfield Public Schools, your household is eligible to receive up to a $30 a month discount on Internet service. The Affordable Connectivity Program will provide a discount of $30 per month toward the broadband service plan of choice for eligible households. This benefit is $75 for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Additionally, eligible households will receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer or tablet from eligible providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Who Is Eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program

Your household qualifies for the Affordable Connectivity Program if it has an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines OR any member of the household:

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household. To receive the connected device discount, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a participating provider that offers connected devices (Note: not all internet company offer device discounts.) The internet company will provide the discount to the consumer.

There are three ways to apply:

  1. Contact your preferred participating broadband provider directly to learn about their application process.
  2. Visit www.ACPBenefit.org to submit an application or print out a mail-in application.
  3. Complete the application and Household Worksheet and mail them, along with copies of proof documentation, to:

The over 9 million households fully enrolled in the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program as of December 31, 2021, will continue to receive their current monthly benefit until March 1, 2022. The FCC will release additional guidance for households already enrolled in the EBB.
