SAN FRANCISCO, CA – EducationSuperHighway and GeoTel Communications, LLC today announced a joint effort to identify opportunities for further closing the digital divide in America’s public education system.

The strategic partnership will leverage GeoTel Communications’ geospatial telecom datasets to deliver unparalleled strategic insight, enabling EducationSuperHighway to assist the more than 2.3 million students across the nation who still lack access to the minimum connectivity required for digital learning and the 1,350 schools without a fiber-optic connection.

“We are excited to work with GeoTel as we seek to find a clear and affordable path for connecting the remaining school districts to high-speed Internet access,” said EducationSuperHighway Founder and CEO Evan Marwell.

GeoTel is proud to partner with a mission-driven organization dedicated to opening a world of possibilities for today’s students and tomorrow’s leaders. Adequate Internet access opens a realm of benefits through digital learning, and we are eager to play a role in advancing this critical work,” said GeoTel Founder and CEO Dave Drazen.
