Tips and customizable templates to inform families about your school district’s sponsored service offer.
Capacity planning: start by assigning a caseload to available parent liaisons, social workers, administrative assistants, paraeducators, and community volunteers based on capacity and/or relevance.
Local context matters: we recommend that you tweak scripts or email templates to meet the needs of your unique constituency.
Consider phasing family outreach in two stages: first, the initial awareness stage to explain what sponsored service is and what it offers, and the steps for families to sign up. Second, the follow-through stage after families have submitted applications and been approved, to ensure their setup and installation is successful.
Follow through with a support plan: you may also consider setting up a district support email address or hotline where families can reach out for help with additional questions.
Below are outreach scripts you can use and adjust based on your families’ needs.
