How does this data help us understand the state of connectivity for America’s education system today?

This data allows us to understand the progress America’s school districts are making toward providing enough bandwidth to support digital learning for students. The 2015 States of the States revealed that 23% of school districts are not meeting the FCC minimum Internet access goal of 100 kbps per student. Analysis of E-rate data helps us understand what needs to be done in order to connect the remaining 20 million students to high-speed broadband.
