As a technology manager with more than 15 years telecoms industry experience, and as a mom of two young children, I’m extremely aware of the importance of basic Internet connectivity for our children’s future. EducationSuperHighway has given me the opportunity to work in an environment where I’m able to use my technical skills to impact future generations in an incredibly fundamental way.

The Teams

  • District
    Programs

Our District team focuses on the heart of our mission: upgrading the Internet Infrastructure of districts so that students can take advantage of the promise of digital learning. This team helps shape our policy work, using their “on the ground” perspective to ensure that EducationSuperHighway’s recommendations address the real needs of districts, schools, and students.

  • State
    Programs

The state team develops strategies and implementation plans for states to accelerate upgrades and reduce the cost of broadband services through efficient network design, increased competition, and improved procurement practices. Currently, the team is engaged in high profile pilot projects with Virginia and Arkansas that will shape our strategy for State programs nationally.

  • Strategy
    & Research

The strategic analysis team has been instrumental in EducationSuperHighway’s success. This is the team that takes an abstract question like “how much money should go into the Federal E-Rate program to support Internet infrastructure upgrades in schools?” and answers it. They conduct primary and secondary research as well as collect and perform statistical analysis on a wide variety of data sets.

  • Software Development

The software team is crucial to the success of our organization. For a small non-profit to have national impact, we need to develop scalable solutions, and software will make it possible for us to achieve that scale. We need people with proven experience building modern web applications who want to put that experience to work doing something good for the world.

  • Marketing & Communications

The marketing team elevates EducationSuperHighway as the preeminent expert on the topic of Internet in schools and builds awareness of and drives demand for EducationSuperHighway tools and services. The team also plays a key role in our advocacy work, facilitating partnerships, and articulating case studies and best practices for district upgrades.
